How I Made My First $1K Ghostwriting ( Without Upwork )

Back in 2015, I created an Upwork profile. The goal was to supplement my income while searching for employment. While on Upwork, I earned a couple of hundred bucks per client project. I enjoyed the client projects that I worked on and the income. However, I was never quite comfortable with splitting my earnings with a third party. Thus, by 2018 I decided to stop putting my ghostwriting skills in hobby mode. It was time for me to pivot and make a sustainable income as a ghostwriter.

Today, I earn $10K + per ghostwriting client. Want to know how I made my first $1K? How have I transitioned from Upwork clients and attracting clients online? I’m going to tell you how I did it and you can do the same. This blog is not a deterrent from Upwork. I think Upwork is a great place to build a steady stream of clients. It’s great to pivot into other streams of income.
